Dry Ridge systems are:

More secure, so less likely for the ridge tiles to become displaced.

Allows for the rain water to drain away from the roof into the gutter system.

Virtually maintenance free, no regular maintenance unlike the traditional mortar fixings.

Durable and long lasting, therefore more cost effective in the long run.

The new systems, dry ridge systems, do not need mortar to secure the ridge tiles in place, we do carry out traditional mortar repairs and re-bed ridge tiles.

The dry ridge systems ensure the ridge tiles are mechanically secure, so there is no need for mortar and are much more secure.

The advantages are that they are secure, durable, weatherproof and waterproof.

The old ridges are cleaned and any old mortar is removed, the ridges have a lining which allows for ventilation.

We carry out all roof ridge repairs, where we remove the old worn mortar and replace with new.

We also re-bed ridge tiles and replace if there are any damaged or loose.

Mortar, which is a sand and cement mix, has been used for roof verges and keeping ridge tiles in situ for many years, and is indeed still used today.

However, there have been improvements and changes and most new builds have the new upvc products installed.

Older properties can also benefit by having the new dry fix/roofing products installed.
